A turbinectomy is a surgical procedure in which surgeon removes part of it or complete nasal turbinate.
Turbinates (also called conchae) are small bony structures that occur inside the nose. There are a total of three to four of these structures in the human nasal chamber. They clean, warm, and humidify air as it travels through your nostrils on the way to your lungs.
ESSENTIAL THINGS TO DO DURING RECOVERY:
• Regular irrigation of the nose with normal saline water to remove all discharge and crusting
• Avoid all actions that cause strain, such as aerobics and jogging, for up to 2 weeks
• Take those medications prescribed by the surgeon
